Our Projects & Updates

The Board Members choose projects that need accomplished to maintain the quality of the neighborhood. The dues that we all pay yearly apply towards paying for these projects, or little surprises. These projects are for improvements, to maintain or update the common areas and to help create safety overall.

PLEASE NO INTENTIONAL DUMPING/LITTERING IN THE COMMON AREAS/TRAIL

Project #1. The Walking Trail

The common area trees in the center of the walking trail is always a top priority. We try to maintain the paved trail the developer left very natural, trim and cut down dead trees, clean up drainage that is mandatory by Metro from the street drainage. We have cleared a lot of trees since the builder left making the area more visible around the curves and feel safer to walk. We seal coated the asphalt Sept 2022.

We have considered finishing the unpaved trail entrances on the three remaining streets (they were left that way by the builder and developer sadly) We put out trail rules signs for no motorized vehicles, unleashed pets on the trail and no littering. We would like to eventually add some trash cans, park benches and dog pooping bag stations if that is something everyone would like. We are sorry, but no it can't be a playground or pool at this time. It is too costly to build, maintain and insure. There is also a possible sinkhole in the center of the trees. No we can't use Hickory Woods Pool behind us, we don't pay to maintain or use it. They are a separate HOA managed by Timmons Property.

**Always stay aware of your surroundings walking alone on the trail**

* The white fence will be cleaned in Spring and flowers/trees maintained.

* The entrance sign letters were enhanced 2016, we will do again when needed.

* The landscaping and lawn care is Pride Lawn Care and we have been content.

* Spring/Fall the irrigation gets turned off-on/repaired, by Guzand Irrigation.

* We maintain and pay for the water & electricity at the entrance.

* We have a security camera HIK on solar panel and Verizon Cube.

**Please remind your children when waiting for the School Bus for school to not stand, sit or throw trash

in the entrance. It's the focal point to our community.**

Antioch's Future Development

Tanger Outlet Mall and Many Restaurants have opened in the area off exit 60. Starbucks built a new stand-alone location, In and Out Burger, Chic Fila, Texas Roadhouse, Eggspectation, and more. Mills Park opened on OHB someone donated the land for across from Cane Ridge High School. They did open a KIPP School at the Global Mall. They have started demolishing the old mall to create a new space that hopefully we can all enjoy. Plans

Metro Nashville built a police precinct they have been promising us for many years. Commander Carlos Lara is coming to make a difference. Carlos.Lara@nashville.gov

Melissa Raymond was appointed by Councilman Deonte Harrell to be District 8 Beautification Commissioner. It's a 3 year term. She's trying to make a difference. Reach Out if you have any questions/suggestions.
